Eternity is Now and Forever

Eternity is Now and Forever

I do not usually think about eternity unless I am faced with something infinitely large or small. Intense personal friction or pain can expand my sense and awareness of Self with transformation. In my waking state or walking sleep, I see no further than the cloud of imagination in my own mind. Like a balloon tethered to the ground, there is limited view and perspective in sleep. When consciousness is expanded, however, a greater sense of Self is revealed. A broader landscape of reality is now available.

Suddenly, the sky or room is endless in its proportions, the vastness of the sea becomes a comforting domain of deep seeing and feeling, the internal world is no longer confining; it becomes a wide-open space, free of pretext or convention. Consciousness is eternity. The high-flying balloon sees amazing things near and far.

Rodney Collin said, “The body lives in space and time, subject to matter, illusion and sense. The spirit lives in eternity and truth. The soul must unite the two. So all that is certainty belongs to the spirit, all that is struggle belongs to the soul. . . This is how the soul is made to vibrate, and man becomes one, becomes himself.”

Do not be afraid of consciousness. Being in the moment gives an immediate taste of eternity. Take the balloon ride for yourself, trust your Self.
