A weekly exercise

A weekly exercise

Each week an exercise will be posted for the aim of living consciously.

Looking at Michelangelo’s, “The Creation of Adam,”(1508-1512), one is drawn to the small gap between the finger of God and the finger of Adam. In that small space, separating man from God we can envision, if it is possible, Presence. In that small space we can envision, if it is possible, the first wordless breaths. In that small space we can envision, if it is possible, the spark of divine energy and light. In that small space we can envision, if it is possible, the transmission of life and love. Perhaps Adam is all of us desiring to BE present so that we may feel the hand of God (spontaneous reality.)

From Meister Eckhardt
What is the highest work of God?
It is simply this: God will not rest until this birth happens in you. Let go of your need to make something happen, and open yourself to this birth; the rest will come of itself.”

This week, leave space for Presence. In a conversation take four wordless breaths before you respond. In moments of emotions take four wordless breaths before acting. In living, leave space to simply BE.
