A weekly exercise

Each week an exercise will be posted for the aim of living consciously.

One of the objectives of these weekly exercises is to interrupt imagination which the machine is constantly manufacturing. The endless stream of thoughts keep us imprisoned in a state of sleep and far removed from Presence. Self-remembering serves to rid us of imagination and to sustain the awareness of Higher Centers. It is there that our BEing separates from the trappings of the lower self.

From our teacher, “Self-Remembering has no momentum; one must make effort, moment to moment. When the third state appears, experience it-it is your self, your soul.”

This week, before you close your eyes to sleep, look back through your day and try to recall those moments when Higher Centers appeared (Presence). Your experiences may be full of beautiful emotions or they may be shocking and unsettling. Like grains of sand in an hour glass, each moment of Presence adds to the next and this accumulation nourishes the soul. Recalling the moments when one was in imagination is futile as they are unimportant and not real.
