A weekly exercise
Each week an exercise will be posted for the aim of living consciously.
More moments than not when I am sitting, my machine immediately crosses my arms in front of my chest while my right leg crosses over the left knee. A student in our school brought this to my attention (photographed me.) Throughout that day, I watched myself habitually assume this posture. This unconscious act of sheilding oneself enabled the lower self to keep me from Presence.
Our teacher says, "What is normally called 'body language' is, in fact, the unconscious, unnecessary movement of the moving center.”
This week observe a body posture or movement that you may often assume which distracts you from Presence. It may be crossing your legs, tapping a foot, cracking your knuckles or gesticulating while speaking. There are many repetitive motions of the machine which keeps us in a state of sleep.
"One by one let go of all distractions. Embrace the light and let it guide you." ~Rumi
