A weekly exercise
Each week an exercise will be posted for the aim of living consciously.
Throughout our lives we identify with different characteristics of who we think we are or who we think we should be. Every perceived sense of self and attachment fuels the Lower Self and distracts us from Presence.
Our teacher says, “One needs to give up who one imagines one is to become who one truly is without imagination.”
This week, observe acts of identification that keeps you from Presence. What imaginary falsehood defines you? Perhaps it’s an image of how you want to be perceived or a habitual practice. When this occurs, make an effort to replace all imaginary thoughts and actions with the quietude and lovingness of Presence.
