Weekly Topic: Service
Today is Mother’s Day. It is very appropriate that the topic of service, the act of external consideration, will be the focus of this week’s posts. Mother’s Day is a symbolic day to honor or remember with gratitude our mothers. One could say that there is no greater form of external consideration than carrying a child in the womb, or the loving gift of adopting a child. It is the mother who is the gardener, tending and nurturing the divine love that is embedded in our essence. As BEing grows there is awareness that service from a Higher State sustains presence and unites us as one. It is in those moments when we give and receive the precious gifts of conscious love.
From the Teacher, “Higher Centers cannot be present if one is heedless of others. External consideration is practical and humane. Look for it in the small, as well as the great.”
We are born of love; Love is our mother"~Rumi
“We are all children of one great mother, Nature.” ~ Charles Dickens
Weekly Exercise:
Honor your mother and Mother Earth through an act of external consideration.
Gustav Klimt
