Weekly Topic: Imagination

Given our current state of imagination, we are not typically present to the moment. For instance, if I’m cooking, the machine (the body) is preparing the food while the mind is busy thinking about the road trip I will be taking or about tomorrow. We are blinded by imagination. Self-remembering is a method for being in the moment.

Weekly Exercise:

This week, when dining, remember to set your silverware down between bites. Remember yourself each time.

It is helpful to anticipate the subjects of imagination that the lower self will bring. They revolve precisely around what keeps one asleep. One must not be attracted to what veils us. ─ The Teacher
