A weekly exercise

Each week an exercise will be posted for the aim of living consciously.

Completing a task (an octave) seems like a rather simple aim. However for many of us this can be a daily challenge. Often, we mechanically move from one task to another with abandonment. Neglecting to complete a task leaves work undone, living spaces disheveled, words unsaid, and our Self lost in a maze of imagination.

Our teacher has said, “It is typical of the lower self to attempt to crush our aim to be present to our lives.”

This week make an effort to BE present while working on an octave. Be conscious of your movements and try to not go on to another task until what you are working on is complete. If the octave is long, work through any interval (obstacle) and do not quit. As in the painting below, trust that a conscious influence is there to guide you.
