There is one hidden idea contained in every spiritual teaching or school of enlightenment. G.I. Gurdjieff and P.D. Ouspensky called this idea, Self-remembering: the overlooked “simple” ability to be present to each moment of one's life. This key idea is at the heart of our School’s practice. It is also the foundation of every major wisdom tradition throughout history—from ancient Egypt to the modern day—regardless of the name it goes by. We will discuss the obstacles to self-remembering and the practices for reaching and sustaining it.
